My Y.A. projects:

I am currently working on a YA contemporary fiction that focuses on teen body positivity, and how a "fat" girl navigates playing sports, constant teasing, and is faced with peer sexual harassment despite the recent "me too" movement. High school enemies become unlikely allies, and the hero must decide if quitting means giving in to the bullies, or if it means following a new dream that impacts her whole world.

I am also working on a three book series about an 18-year-old girl who journeys to Scotland in search of information surrounding her birth parents and a mysterious heirloom. Instead, she finds herself embedded in a supernatural war between Divine Angels and the dark Fae creatures of the Fallen Army. She must decide if loving an immortal guardian poses a risk to her soul and to her Clan's duty in the protection of ancient relics of power, or if his affection will catapult her toward the role she was chosen to fulfill.

My non-fiction WIP:

In February of 2019, my husband was diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, also known as "flesh eating bacteria". He underwent 13 surgeries in 30 days in order to save his life. The memoir I am writing chronicles our journey and how unearthing our fears and faith drove us both through this horrific, yet healing process. I hope to capture the experience through emotion, humor, and faith.
